Queensland College of Art - History
Over the last 120 years, the Queensland College of Art has brought together many fine practitioners and academics in visual art and design. Past students include many leading Australian visual artists and designers who have helped to shape the art and design culture of Queensland and Australia. Whether you are an aspiring fine artist, photographer, filmmaker, designer or animator, the QCA will allow you develop the art qualifications that will help shape your career in the arts.
The QCA student community comprises of around 1000 artists, designers, animators, photographers and filmmakers and other creative individuals. They come from around Australia and other countries to study. Class sizes are kept small so that considerable emphasis may be placed on individual attention.
The Queensland College of Art is part of Griffith university major public university with six campuses in the Brisbane-Gold Coast region. The QCA offers programs on three of these campuses. The College's main campus is located at South Bank in the cultural heart of the city. As a QCA student, you will receive a university-standard education in fine art, photography, animation, design or screen production. And your degree, Bachelor, Honours, Master or Doctorate, will be recognised wherever your career may take you.
