The Queensland College of Art is part of Griffith University, a large and innovative education institution. The QCA has a state-of-the-art home in the inner city suburb of South Bank in the heart of Brisbane's cultural precinct this campus is home to 1800 students who attend the Queensland College of Art and/or the Queensland Conservatorium.
New multi-million dollar education facilities at the South Bank campus provide outstanding teaching studios, performance and art exhibition spaces, libraries and lecture rooms. Students can walk to the Queensland Art Gallery, the State Library, the Queensland Museum, the Performing Arts Centre and Brisbane's city centre.
Additional facilities are located on Griffith University's Gold Coast, Logan and Nathan campuses. The Queensland College of Art is an art college focused on creative training and studio-based activities and offers a large and diverse range of art programs to the aspiring art student.
The Queensland College of Art begun in Brisbane in 1881 and it is one of Australia's longest-running art and design colleges. Today, the QCA offers one of the widest ranges of visual art and design studies in Australia including: Animation, Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art Design Studies, Graphic Design, Interior Design, 3D Design, Fine Art, Intermedia, Illustration, Gold- and Silversmithing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Interdisciplinary Studies, Photography, Commercial Photography, Creative Advertising Photography, Photographic Art Practice, Photojournalism, Screen Production, Film and Television.
